Blue Oak Architecture LLC is a boutique architectural firm based in Boulder, Colorado, specializing in custom residential design. The main focus is creating unique, livable homes that reflect your wishes and enhance the way you live. I, Brad Dassler-Bethel, am the owner and principal architect, registered with the State Architectural Licensing Board in Colorado, and have National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certification.

My passion for residential architecture and construction was inspired by my grandfather. He was a master builder with a strong work ethic and immense love for the homes he built. His influence has taught me the value of applying hard work, creativity, and care to every project that I take on.

I was motivated to pursue internships in both construction and architecture throughout my high school years. These experiences strengthened my love for residential architecture. I furthered my education at the Savannah College of Art & Design, graduating in 2003 with my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Architecture.

I began my professional career in Atlanta, Georgia, designing high-end custom homes in Atlanta and along the East Coast. Working with prominent architects for over twelve years, I gained valuable knowledge and experience that inspired me to establish my architecture firm in 2016. Starting as a sole proprietor, I deeply enjoyed bringing my expertise, creativity, and passion to every aspect of my clients' homes. In 2019, I eagerly relocated my firm to Boulder, Colorado, offering architectural design services along the Front Range and neighboring communities. This journey led me to establish Blue Oak Architecture LLC, a boutique architectural firm dedicated to exceptional residential design.

Outside the design studio, I love spending time with family and friends. Hiking in the nearby mountains or biking off the beaten path, surrounded by the beauty of Colorado’s nature fills me with joy. It’s a simple pleasure that I can’t get enough of. My wife and I caught the travel bug when we first met, and over the years we have explored many places around the world, savoring the various cultures, cuisines…and of course, the architecture. At the end of the day, we love coming home to a place that feels just right for us. Most evenings, you will find us in the kitchen cooking delicious meals with friends and family. This is truly the heart of our home.
